Sound healing is a holistic healing art that has been used for thousands of years and comes from the concept of Nada Yoga (Nada Bindu Upanishad).
It has the ability to create vibratory resonance within the body, which can help to promote a sense of relaxation, harmony and balance. When the body is in a relaxed state, it is better able to heal and restore itself.
Sound therapy utilizes sound healing instruments like gongs, Tibetan bowls, plate bells, tuning forks, chimes, ocean drums etc., vocal healing and meditation.
In a private session, it will start with an assessment of the individual's issues and goals, followed by a bespoke sound healing and post review. All you need to do is to lie down on a comfortable mat, close your eyes, relax and bring your attention to the sound and vibration.
As you start experiencing the sound waves and vibrations, you may feel a range of physical sensations, such as tingling, warmth, or a sense of weightlessness. Some experience a deep sense of relaxation, and may even fall asleep during the session.
The frequency of sound healing sessions can vary depending on individual needs and preferences. Some people may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may only need occasional sessions.
Yes, anyone can practice sound healing. However, it is recommended that individuals receive proper training before practicing on others. We offer Sound Healer Training Courses and Workshops. For more details Email: swaram@ecovillage.org.in
Sessions are conducted by internationally accredited sound therapists - Vrinda Lila Devi Dasi and Nimai Lila Das - with many years of experience in healing modalities, philosophy, yoga, meditation and sound healing.
The benefits of sound healing can include reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, increased energy levels, improved mood, enhanced creativity, and a stronger immune system. It can also be helpful for those with chronic pain, depression, insomnia and other health conditions.
Some researchers have suggested that sound waves may be able to penetrate deep into the body's tissues and cells, potentially promoting healing and regeneration at the cellular level.
